Application for a Tax Exemption on Personal Belongings for Rwandans Returning Permanently from Abroad, please follow the steps below:

1. Visit the Irembo portal: https://irembo.gov.rw/home/citizen/all_services
2. Log in to your Irembo account (or create one if you do not already have an account).
3. Navigate to Foreign Affairs Consular Services.
4. Select Request for Tax Exemption on Personal Belongings for Rwandans Returning Permanently from Abroad
5. Please read carefully the listed documents required before applying.
6. Complete the online application and upload all the required supporting documents as instructed.
7. Submit your application.

Upon successful submission of your application, the Embassy of the Republic of Rwanda in Germany will review your request. If your application meets the requirements, the Embassy will issue a recommendation letter to the Commissioner General of the Rwanda Revenue Authority (RRA) through the Embassy, recommending that you be granted tax exemption on your personal belongings upon your permanent return to Rwanda.
